Update On Former WWE Superstar Reportedly Signing With AEW, Where He Could Wind Up

Not there? With so many wrestlers throughout the world, it can be difficult for all of them to find work in a prominent place. You might see one of them show up in one place or another, as wrestlers do occasionally sign new deals elsewhere. In this case, it seems that a former WWE star has not signed a new deal despite previous reports that he had made such a move.

Earlier this week, it was reported that former WWE Superstar Elias had signed a contract with AEW, possible to appear in Ring Of Honor. This came after Elias had appeared in a video with AEW tag team The Righteous. However, according to Fightful Select by way of Cagesideseats.com, the two sides have not come to a deal. At the same time, TNA Wrestling is reportedly interested in having Elijah work with them, though it is not clear if that will happen.

Opinion: This is an interesting twist and does make a bit more sense. Having Elias come in to AEW did not make a ton of sense, though heading to TNA might be a bit of a better fit. For now though, we are going to be waiting to see what happens, as Elias is more than good enough to be put in a spot somewhere in a bigger promotion. That is what we might be seeing soon, but it could take some time.
