Not just yet. While he might not be the star that he once was, there is no denying that Jeff Hardy is one of the biggest names that WWE has ever seen. There is an amazing amount of charisma to him that cannot be faked or replicated, which is a big part of why WWE is so willing to push him time after time. This is in despite of all of his legal and substance abuse issues, which are coming up again.
Hardy has a long history of issues with substance abuse and was arrested last year for such problems. He seems to be doing better now though and the issues are even part of his current storyline. This has made it one of the more personal stories in WWE in a long time, but Hardy seems to be comfortable with it. However, his legal issues need to be dealt with, even if it might be even longer before they are.
According to PWInsider.com, Hardy’s court case stemming from his October 3, 2019 arrest has been pushed back to September 28, 2020. The delay is one of several due to the Coronavirus situation causing court cases to be delayed or postponed. Hardy was arrested for DWI when he was seen swerving in his car and buying a case of beer at a liquor store. He has since gone to rehab, partially at WWE’s request.
Hopefully Hardy is getting better. Check out what he has done in the ring since:
Opinion: I really hope that Hardy has straightened himself out and is taking his issues seriously, as he has gotten in a lot of trouble over the years. If the rehab is what he needed then so be it because it was clear that he needed some kind of help. Maybe this can get him back to where he was before, which would be quite the accomplishment given how good he really can be.
