That could have been worse. There are so many inherent risks in being a professional wrestler that it is almost hard to imagine trying to make it worse. Some wrestlers do just that though with a daredevil style that not everyone is willing to take. It can make for some very exciting moments, but also some terrifying near misses. The latter was true on Monday and thankfully everything seems to be ok.
There are a lot of risk takers in WWE today but very few can rival Jeff Hardy. For almost twenty five years now, hardy has done one dangerous thing after another in the ring and his body has paid the consequences for it. That being said, he keeps getting up and continuing, which is remarkable in its own right. Hardy was at it again this week and it was a terrifying near miss.
According to Fightful Select, Hardy is going to be ok after a spot during a match with Elias on Monday Night Raw. During the match, Elias was laid on a table outside the ring between the steps and the barricade. Hardy hit a Swanton Bomb through the table, though it looked like his head slammed into the steps. Following the show, WWE uploaded an interview with Hardy, where he said it looked worse than it was.

At least he sounds ok. Check out what Hardy had to say after the match:
Opinion: It’s great to see and hear that Hardy is ok, but this is the kind of thing that did not need to happen in the first place. I understand the idea of wanting to end the match on a high note, but there was no need to have the table in such a dangerous place. Move it over to the bottom of the aisle and give Hardy a cleaner path for the dive. This could have been worse and certainly looked to be, but at least everything seems to be fine.
