It’s a long time. Injuries can be one of the worst things to happen to any wrestler as they can put someone on the shelf for a good while. Such an injury can take place at any time and you might not even notice it happening. That can lead to quite the surprise announcement and unfortunately that was the case with a big WWE name earlier this year. Now we know some more about how his recovery is going.

CM Punk returned to WWE at the 2023 Survivor Series but and wrestled his first televised match at the 2024 Royal Rumble. However, during the match, Punk suffered a torn tricep muscle which will leave him out of action for several months. Punk was interviewed at UFC 298 and said that he was expecting to be out of action from six to eight months. If that time frame holds, Punk would be back in the ring somewhere between the end of July and the end of September. Punk has appeared as a panelist for WWE since his injury.
Punk’s WWE return was going well. Check out some of his time back in the company:
Opinion: That’s a long time for Punk to likely be out of action but having a date for a possible return is a good sign. Given how many injuries Punk has had over the years, it does not seem likely that he is going to be able to be in the ring that much longer. It is a shame that he is out of action for so long but getting him back in the ring sooner than later sounds rather nice.
What do you think of Punk’s return to WWE? Who would you like to see him face? Let us know in the comments below.
