Fish out of the ring. Injuries can be devastating to a wrestler’s career and this one happened at a terrible time. Earlier this month, Bobby Fish, one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, injured his knee at an NXT house show. It was clear that he would miss ring time, but now we know how long.

Here’s what a healthy Fish can do.

Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly practice their strikes ahead of NXT TakeOver: New Orleans

According to F4Wonline.com by way of Wrestlinginc.com, Bobby Fish underwent surgery today to repair minor tears in both his ACL and MCL. This injury will put Fish out of action for about six months. At the moment, Fish is scheduled to defend the NXT Tag Team Titles at “Takeover: New Orleans”. There is no word on what will happen to the title match.

Here’s one of Fish’s best performances in NXT.

Opinion: Well dang. I’m not sure how they’re going to handle this at “Takeover”, unless there’s a new partner to help Kyle O’Reilly. Either that or they’ll just have O’Reilly fight by himself for the most part with Fish being taken out early. It could be interesting, but you can almost guarantee new champions.

Fish can talk too.
