That should work. We are about a month away from WWE Summerslam, which will be one of the biggest shows of the year. WWE has gone a long way towards setting up the card and you can probably guess some of the matches from here. This includes one match that will likely be set up next week on Monday Night Raw and now we know something about how the plans were originally going to go.

At Money In The Bank, Ricochet and Logan Paul both took part in the men’s edition of the show’s namesake ladder match. During the match, Ricochet attempted to drive Paul through some tables with a springboard Spanish Fly but it did not connect as planned. This week on Monday Night Raw, Ricochet challenged Paul to meet him on next week’s show. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the two are scheduled to meet at Summerslam, with the original plan calling for the Spanish Fly to set up the match. Since it did not go as planned, the match will be set up next week instead. This is in addition to six other matches WWE has planned for the show.

They have a bit of a history. Check out what the two of them have done before in the same match:

Opinion: I don’t think there is any secret to the fact that Ricochet vs. Paul has been planned for Summerslam and that is not a bad idea. Paul has shown that he can do some incredibly athletic stuff in the ring and Ricochet is the king of that area in WWE. This isn’t so much having a major showdown for Paul but likely rather letting them do something that will probably go viral with how many insane things that they can do. Now just pull them off, because that is the tricky part, as well as what can ruin a match like this.
