Legend to legend. Wrestling is a unique sport as the people involved can keep going a lot longer than other athletes in different sports. It isn’t out of the ordinary to see wrestlers competing in their fifties and beyond, often at high levels. These wrestlers have often reached legendary status and that brings some special privileges. Those were on display this week.

Some wrestlers are better talkers than others, but there are different ways to cut promos. You might see someone let their actions do the talking while giving few words, but others might never shut up. Sometimes people can mix it up a little bit though and that makes for some interesting changes. Every now and then you hear someone steal a line from someone else, whether by accident or on purpose, but this time it was quickly forgiven.

During this week’s Monday Night Raw, the Undertaker cut a promo on AJ Styles, during which he referred to him as an “a**clown”, which is a Chris Jericho catchphrase. A fan mentioned this to Jericho on Twitter, with Jericho saying that Undertaker can use all of his catchphrases that he wants. Undertaker apologized, saying that he knew he had heard the phrase before.

Consider it the heat of the moment. Check out the promo in question, plus a look at Jericho’s history of catchphrases (this is cool):

Opinion: It’s still so strange to see Undertaker talk about things like a normal person. After watching him be so serious for so many years, it just doesn’t feel right to see something like this take place. That being said, it means a lot that Jericho, one of the biggest stars of all time, offered Undertaker that kind of respect. Not many people can command it like Undertaker can, and Jericho certainly knows that he is dealing with one of his peers.

Which of the two do you like more? What is Jericho’s best catchphrase? Let us know in the comments below.
