His opinion kind of matters. Wrestling has changed over the last few years and that is the case with every generation. You can see how different wrestling is now as opposed to not very long ago and some fans are not going to be happy with how the changes have gone. There is one legend in particular who does not seem to be happy with what WWE is doing at the moment.
In November 2020, the Undertaker officially announced his retirement from wrestling, completing the move from in-ring wrestler to an official Legend. Undertaker had been one of the biggest names in all of wrestling for a very long time now and it was still sad to see him officially hang up his boots. Now that he is out of the ring, Undertaker has been granting a lot of interviews and he had something very interesting to say in his most recent one.
This might get some people talking. Check out what Undertaker had to say about modern WWE:
The Undertaker was a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience and when asked if he still watched WWE, he said that it was hard to do. Undertaker described the product as soft, with “too much pretty and not enough substance.” He did make it clear that this did not apply to everyone and that there were several names he would not consider soft. Undertaker also mentioned that he would likely get in trouble for what he was saying.
Opinion: I know Undertaker likely is going to get in trouble for what he said but I can also see why he is thinking the same thing. There is a certain edge lacking from modern wrestling, which is one of the problems that you are going to see in almost any generation. Undertaker certainly wrestled a different style and it is true that the style is not as common as it was before, but you can have quite a different take on whether that is an improvement or not.
