Maybe they should be. In about a month and a half, WWE is set to move Monday Night Raw over to Netflix, marking the first time that the show has primarily been broadcast via streaming. Earlier this week, Netflix presented a special boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. The special was broadcast live, but was plagued by streaming issues which caused fans to have to refresh the broadcast multiple times. According to Fightful Select by way of Wrestlingnews.co, WWE has spoken to Netflix about the issue and has been told that it will not be a problem for WWE. It was also said that if WWE had the traffic that Tyson vs. Paul had, it would be a good problem to face. Monday Night Raw is set to move to Netflix on January 6.
They have a lot to follow. Check out what Monday Night Raw has been doing lately:
Opinion: It’s understandable that WWE would be worried about this as the move is one of the mos significant the company has ever seen. Leaving cable after almost thirty four years is a massive move and they are going to want to make sure that everything works out as well as possible. Hopefully it works, as that show not working well would be a terrible way to go, especially after all of the hype.
