That’s serious. With so many wrestlers on any given roster at the moment, there is always the chance that something can go wrong. According to the Orlando Sentinel, AEW Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. According to PWInsider.com, the warrant was issued on July 28, meaning the alleged incident took place several weeks ago. Wheeler has entered a plea of not guilty on August 3 and had a hearing earlier today.
PWInsider.com is also reporting that the incident is believed to have been a road rage situation when Wheeler flashed a gun at another party. It is believed that Wheeler did not know the other party, which was said to involve multiple people. Wheeler is scheduled to team with Dax Harwood to defend the AEW Tag Team Titles on August 27 at All In. As of now, the match is still scheduled.

Opinion: Well that’s quite a big deal, and now the question is what it means for AEW and the Tag Team Title situation. FTR vs. the Young Bucks is one of the bigger matches on the show and, assuming the match still takes place, there is a very real chance that this will impact the way the result goes. Wheeler could be in a lot of trouble over this, but it is a situation where we will have to wait and see the details.
What does this mean for FTR? Will the title match still take place? Let us know in the comments below.
