That isn’t going well. Over the weekend, AEW celebrated its fifth anniversary with Double Or Nothing. The company promoted the fact that they had been in business since 2019, which is quite the impressive milestone. There are things that have changed during that time though and some of the changes are not the most positive. Now we know a bit more about some of those important changes.

According to Bryan Alvarez on F4WOnline.com’s the Board by way of Cagesideseats.com, modern AEW is comparable to 2019 WWE. This includes that most people in the company, which includes more than just wrestlers, do not know what they are going to be doing until hours before a show. Others are brought to a show and have nothing to do, though some are brought in at the last minute to do something, with AEW having to beg them. There is no word on when these changes began or what caused them to take place.

Opinion: I’m not sure why things have changed backstage in AEW but it does not exactly seem to be going in the right direction. It does not seem to be as organized as it was before and that is the kind of thing that needs to be fixed. At some point, things are going to need to be corrected, as being so unorganized could create quite the problem for the company going forward.
