We have room for two more. This weekend, NXT will present the latest entry in its Takeover series. Starting back in 2014, Takeover has become quite the well regarded series of events, with one successful show after another. There are all kinds of classics over the history of Takeover and now NXT is going to have another chance. Now we know even more matches for the show.

As close as we are to this weekend’s Takeover, the card is not yet set. NXT is currently in full on tournament mode, featuring both a men’s and women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The winners receives some special prestige and that means we could be in for a special night with a pair of matches. However, the matches still needed to be set up and that has been covered.

The finals of both Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classics were set on this week’s edition of NXT. During the show, Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart defeated The Way to earn the right to face Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez. On the men’s side, MSK defeated Legado del Fantasma and the Grizzled Young Veterans defeated Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa to set up the finals.

Opinion: Works for me. These tournaments have felt rather long but it can all turn out fine if the finals wind up working. I’m not usually big on having these tournaments be for a future title shot, but at least the wrestling has worked out well enough so far. These finals should both be good as Takeover matches tend to be, but I’ll be glad to have these things wrapping up.
