Two Of A Kind: Rhea Ripley And AEW Champion Have Cute Twitter Exchange After Dynamite

It’s a personal thing. There have been all kinds of wrestlers over the years but there have only been a handful of wrestling couples. You will see wrestlers get together every so often and given their hectic schedules, it makes all the sense in the world. On the other hand though, wrestlers who work in different promotions make it all the more complicated. That is the case at the moment, and one star had something to say to her significant other.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley is currently dating AEW star Buddy Matthews. This week on AEW Dynamite, Matthews used Ripley’s Prism Trap submission hold to retain the AEW Trios Titles. Following the match, Matthews sent Ripley a message on Twitter saying “it worked”, with Ripley replaying “told you”. Matthews has used the move before, but never to win a match.

Opinion: This is one of those things that can make for a rather adorable moment as the two got to have a funny time between them with their fans watching. It helps that the Prism Trap is a cool looking move and something that works on just about anyone. Seeing Matthews use his girlfriend’s move was a nice touch and it wouldn’t surprise me if Ripley did something of his soon.
