They worked well enough once. We have moved past Extreme Rules and are now on the road to Summerslam. That could cause things to be shaken up in a big way as there are only so many ways you can build up something like the Horror Show. Summerslam is a bigger deal and we are less than five weeks away, but at least one more week is going to be focused on the Extreme Rules fallout.

Whether it was your cup of tea or not, Extreme Rules was a different kind of pay per view. A lot of the matches were built around specific rules or stipulations, which made the title matches a little more interesting. That isn’t something that you often see every single day, but it turns out that you might be seeing it again, and even more so than you saw this past Sunday.

During this week’s Monday Night Raw, two Extreme Rules rematches were set up for the July 27 Monday Night Raw. First up, Stephanie McMahon announced that Asuka will defend the Raw Women’s Title against Sasha Banks for a second time. This time though, Asuka can lose the title via countout or disqualification. Later in the show, Dolph Ziggler challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, allowing McIntyre to pick the stipulation.

These are some big matches. Check out how they were set up:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to expect from these matches, but they feel like a way to spruce up the ratings and audience again. That isn’t the worst idea in the world, but there are only so many things that you can do with the same matches over and over. They could be interesting, but it might be better to find a show that people want to see rather than going with quick fixes like these.
