Trying Again: Former Intercontinental/US Champion Reportedly Set For WWE Return Next Month

Do it again. There have been all kinds of wrestlers in WWE over the years but only a few of them have made a major impact. Those are the wrestlers are remembered or a long time after they are gone and occasionally they will pop up again. That can make for quite the major moments, and now we might know when another such moment is going to be taking place next.

According to PW Insider Elite, Carlito is expected to make his WWE return at the July 7 SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Carlito has been rumored to have re-signed with WWE over the last few weeks though nothing has been confirmed. This would suggest that he will be part of the SmackDown roster though this is not confirmed. He made an appearance last month at Backlash in Puerto Rico, helping Bad Bunny defeat Damian Priest in a street fight.

Opinion: Carlito’s WWE return has seemingly been an open secret in wrestling for a few weeks now and it is nice to see it seemingly confirmed. He is a rather talented star and the fans certainly remembered him at Backlash, so giving him another chance is not a bad idea. Now that he seems to be back in WWE, it should be interesting to see what he can do with a full time deal.
