That explains it. WWE has a history of changing matches at the last minute, to the point where some of them do not even take place as advertised. This can be the case for a variety of reasons but one of the most common is that WWE just changes things on a moment’s notice. That seemed to be the case again this week, but now we might know a more logical reason.

As of Monday morning, WWE was still advertising a match between Kevin Owens against either Ezekiel, Elias or Elrod. However, the match never took place with no explanation given. According to PWInsider.com, the match was not taking place due to Owens dealing with a minor injury. There is no word on what is wrong or when Owens will be back in the ring. It is not clear if the match will still be taking place down the road.

Opinion: This does at least explain things as Owens’ match not taking place due to an injury certainly makes sense. I could go for more of the story in the future as it has been entertaining enough, though I don’t know how long of a life span it really has. Owens can only go nuts so many times before it stops having the same impact, but at least they are going with it while it lasts.
