Try Again: Former Backstage Executive And Wrestler Making Return To AEW

Yes already. There are all kinds of people who come together to make a wrestling promotion work, as several decisions and work has to be done off camera. May of those people who worked behind the scenes are former wrestlers themselves as they have a very different perspective. Now a former wrestler, and former executive, is back in at least one of his roles.

According to Fightful Select, QT Marshall has returned to his management position behind the scenes in AEW, though he will not be returning to the ring. Marshall left AEW in November 2023 but is said to have worked out his issues with AEW. The deal has yet to begin as Marshall has not returned to AEW so far. Marshall will also be allowed to wrestle for promotions outside of AEW.

Opinion: I’m not sure what this is going to mean or AEW but the company having a familiar hand back behind the scenes is a good move. Marshall seemed to do well in his spot and I’d like to see how much of a difference he is going to make. It’s nice to see the two side having worked out their issues and it could wind up being a solid boost to the company, which they could use.
