That’s how we get there. Titles are the most important part of almost any wrestling promotion as they tell fans who should catch their eye. Winning a title can be a breakthrough moment for a wrestler and the more prestigious of a championship, the bigger of a moment it can be. WWE has recently announced a new championship, and now we know how the first champion will be crowned.

Last month, Triple H unveiled the new World Heavyweight Championship and said that the first champion will be crowned at Night Of Champions. This week at the Backlash press conference, Triple H announced that there will be a pair of triple threat matches on Monday Night Raw and SmackDowns. The winners will face off, with the winners of those matches facing off at Night Of Champions facing off for the title. There is no word on who will be involved in the initial triple threat matches.

Opinion: This is one of those things that could make for quite the interesting showdown, though including SmackDown stars is a surprise. WWE made it clear that SmackDown had Roman Reigns as its World Champion and that the new title was for Monday Night Raw. Either way, we should be in for some big stuff as things are going to change in WWE in several ways.
