Trophy Show: NXT Reveals End Of Year Award Winners, Including Some Main Roster Stars

Polish the trophies. There are all kinds of honors and awards in wrestling but most of them are lost at some point. While a wrestler can be called a former champion, there are only so many things that stay on their resumes for the rest of their lives. Some of those come in the way of awards and WWE gave out some of those this week for a certain group of wrestlers.

NXT announced the results of its annual Year End Awards this week during its weekly show. There were five awards announced with fans casting votes online to determine the winners. While there were other options, no other results were announced besides the winners. Here are the winners in each category:

Tag Team Of The Year: Creed Brothers
Female Superstar Of The Year: Tiffany Stratton
Male Superstar Of The Year: Ilja Dragunov
Match Of The Year: Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov – No Mercy
Moment Of The Year: The Undertaker In NXT

None of the winners commented on their victories during the show.

Those are some good options. Check out some of the winners in action:

Opinion: Most of these make a good bit of sense as there was only a limited amount of competition for each of them. Other than Hayes, Dragunov didn’t have much in the way of competition for Male Superstar of the Year and Undertaker showing up was treated as a huge deal. The Creeds and Stratton dominated while Hayes vs. Dragunov was as good as anything else. That being said, it’s still a lot of fun to look back on these things as you can get some interesting results.
