There’s another. We are less than two weeks away from the Elimination Chamber and there was not much set up for the show coming into this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw. The show did a nice job of setting things up though as the main event was set in the show’s namesake match. That wasn’t all though as the Raw Women’s Title match was set, plus one more that didn’t get as much attention.
Bobby Lashley has been one of the more dominant United States Champions in a long time now with almost no one being able to give him a real challenge. With a five month plus title reign already to his credit, it is hard to imagine Lashley dropping the title anytime soon. He is going to need a major threat to his title, and now WWE might have found one, or two in this case.
WWE.com has announced that Lashley will defend his United States Title against Riddle and Keith Lee in a triple threat match at Elimination Chamber. The match came about after Riddle defeated Lashley via disqualification during last week’s Monday Night Raw. This week, Lee defeated Riddle in a singles match, followed by Lashley coming to the ring and attacking both of them.
Opinion: This is the kind of match they almost had to do and fits the stories that have been told. I’m not sure if Lashley is going to lose the title here but it is one of the only ways to get the thing off of him. Lashley has been such a dominant champion that it is going to be a big deal when someone actually takes the title off of him. The match has some potential and I could see it going any of the three ways, which is nice to see for a change.
