Farewell. Wrestling is like any other aspect of life, in that there are going to be times where no matter how great or impressive someone may be, eventually you have to say goodbye. This can be something you know is coming in advance or happen rather suddenly, with the latter being the case this time. Now we are seeing tributes pouring in to a recently departed wrestling legend.

Earlier this week, Sid Eudy, better known as Sid Vicious, passed away from cancer at the age of 63. Following his passing, several tributes have been made, both from WWE and elsewhere. This includes multiple tributes on Monday Night Raw, with Xavier Woods wearing a “SID” armband, doing Vicious’ trademark fist bumps and even using Vicious’ powerbomb. There was also an official tribute video from WWE. Here are some of the tributes from the wrestling world on Twitter:

Without Sid Vicious, I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW. His impact on this business was undeniable, and he paved the way for so many of us. My deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. #RIPSid pic.twitter.com/3fYWTAkHzO

Wow, I’m so sorry to hear that Sid Eudy has passed on.
Sid had such a presence. When Sid Vicious stepped through the curtain, you knew you were looking at someone special. He had it all and he looked as impressive as anyone to ever enter the squared circle. I had no idea he was… pic.twitter.com/iEyY1Blgk5

Rest well, Sid. I’ll forever appreciate the good times. The microchip pitch to @CWFHMarquez! Making the sheriff’s dept drive 100mph+ from Tulsa to Enid with lights/sirens blaring only to get there when the show was over. NEVER EVER a dull moment. Life is too short. Godspeed. ???

It was a special video. Check out the WWE tribute and more from his career:
Opinion: The more I look at the tributes to Vicious and everything that the did, the more one thing seems to become clear: he just looked like a wrestler. There are certain people who simply look and sound like a wrestler and that is where Vicious fit perfectly. He had an amazing look and the charisma to back it up, which is why he was a star for such a long time. He’s one of the bigger names from when I was growing up and it’s sad to see that he’s gone.
