He had to be there eventually. While NXT may be incredibly popular, there is something about it that has to be remembered. At the end of the day, it is still the developmental promotion and wrestlers are there to be called up to the main roster at some point. That can be a big hit to NXT at times, but we will be seeing a major name heading to the main roster this week.

On Saturday night, Keith Lee lost the NXT Title to Karrion Kross in the main event of Takeover: XXX. This was a bit of a surprising loss as Lee had been champion for about a month and a half and had already vacated the North American Title. That left Lee with nothing to do in NXT other than come after the title again, so now things are changing in a hurry.

During this Sunday’s Summerslam, a promo aired announcing that Lee was coming to Monday Night Raw. While not confirmed, this would seem to be Lee’s official full time debut on the main roster. Lee has previously wrestled on main roster shows such as the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series, but only as part of NXT. There is no word on what Lee will be doing on the show.

Lee has quite the highlight reel. Check out some of his better moments:

Opinion: I’m a little surprised and a little not at this, as Lee was ready for the main roster months ago. It is somewhat strange to see him on the main roster so soon after his title loss but at least he is getting a promotion that he has earned. Monday Night Raw needs a boost in a big way so maybe Lee can give them some of the help that he needs. It’s not like he can make things worse.

What do you want to see from Lee? How will he do on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
