They need to add things. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 37 and the card is starting to come together. There have been some matches announced and there are a few more where you know what is coming even if it has not yet been formally announced. At the same time though, there is another pay per view in less than ten days which needs some attention as well. The show got another match this week.

Before WrestleMania 37 takes place, WWE has the Fastlane pay per view on March 21, three weeks ahead of WrestleMania. That does not leave much time between the two shows so WWE is going to have to pick up the pace to set the card. Coming into Friday, the show had the same amount of matches set as WrestleMania, but Fastlane picked up another one after SmackDown.

WWE.com has announced that Big E. will defend the Intercontinental Title against Apollo Crews at Fastlane. This comes after Crews attacked the returning Big E. again during this week’s episode of SmackDown. Crews had attacked Big E. last month to put him on the shelf after Big E. refused to give Crews another title shot. Big E. returned this week and wanted to fight Crews before accepting the challenge later in the night.

This is a big feud. Check out how we got to this point:

Big E vs. Apollo Crews - Intercontinental Championship Match: SmackDown, Jan. 8, 2021

Big E vs. Apollo Crews – Intercontinental Championship Match: SmackDown, Jan. 22, 2021

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Apollo Crews: SmackDown, Feb. 19, 2021

Big E vs. Sami Zayn - Intercontinental Championship Match: SmackDown, March 12, 2021

Opinion: This is a match that you could pretty easily see coming so it isn’t the biggest surprise. What matters the most here is that there is a reason for the match to be happening and both guys are looking strong. I’m still not sure on Crews’ new persona but it is certainly something to get your attention, which has been missing from him for a long time now.
