Call it a night off? The Bloodline Saga has dominated the WWE world for the better part of three years now with Roman Reigns and his family being the top story in the company. The cracks are starting to form though and the stable might be on its way to a major change. Now though, we might be getting a break from the story, even with a fairly big show coming up soon.

In the main event of Summerslam, Jimmy Uso cost Jey Uso a match against Reigns for the WWE Universal Title. The following week on SmackDown, Jey attacked Jimmy before quitting WWE. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are no plans for the Bloodline to appear at the Payback premium live event on September 2. Reigns will not be wrestling on the show and Jimmy vs. Jey is expected to take place later. The delay is to let the match be built up more, as well as to have it air on a bigger show.

It’s a busy story. Check out what won’t be at Payback:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes some sense, as Payback is not likely to be a major event. At the same time, there are all kinds of other stories that could use the extra attention and maybe that is what we are going to be seeing with Payback. The Bloodline can come back later on after a bit of a breather and that should be good for a change, which might be what the story needs at the moment.
