Tie it together. Professional wrestling has long since had issues when it comes to being seen as a sport. While it certainly has sports related aspects, there is a difference between the two which keeps them apart. There are rare occasions where you will see the two come together though and it can make for some interesting situations. That will be the case again this weekend.

AEW has announced that they will be holding a tag team match before this weekend’s Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns game. The match will be 2/3 falls and will see Sammy Guevara team up with Hologram to face the Beast Mortos and Matt Taven. The match is being held as part of Hispanic Heritage Month and is being billed as a lucha libre match.

Opinion: Sure why not. This is something that has been done for the better part of ever in wrestling and it is not going to hurt anything to have AEW tied in with the NFL. Even if it is a small connection between them, there has to be some kind of a crossover appeal which could do both sides a bit of good. It’s just one match, but that is more than you usually see at a game like this.
