There are some spots to fill. Back in October, WWE ran their annual Draft, meaning it was time to change things up in a big way. As is the case every year, we were ready to see who was going to be moved from one show to another and that can really make the shows look and feel a lot different. That was the case this year and it is going to play a big role in one of the more important nights of the year.
We are less than three weeks away from Survivor Series and that means things are going to start getting interesting in a hurry. In addition to the champion vs. champion matches, we are also going to be able to see the traditional elimination matches, which will include the Monday Night Raw vs. SmackDown matches that have become common over the last few years. There are some spots to be filled on the match but now we have a few more taken up.
Three more spots were filled in this week on SmackDown with two men and one woman qualifying for Survivor Series. First up, King Corbin defeated Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins defeated Otis to qualify for the men’s match. Also on the show, Ruby Riott won a triple threat match over Natalya and Zelina Vega to qualify for the women’s match. The men’s team now consists of Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, Corbin and Rollins with one more name to be announced. The women’s team includes Bianca Belair and Riott with three more names to come.
Those are some good qualifiers. Check out what they can do in the ring:
Opinion: This is the kind of moves that you need to see as there are a fair number of spots still to be filled in and there are just over two weeks to go before Survivor Series. These matches can be filled in by almost anyone but at some point you have to put someone in there. WWE got in a few names in one night and that is a good thing, but it would be nice if there was a little more time to set up some more of a reason for them to be fighting.
