Keep building the card. We are less than three weeks away from Tables, Ladders And Chairs and we don’t have much of a card set up. This is the kind of show that needs a little extra setup as there are so many matches with stipulations, meaning some effort has to be put into setting things up. WWE has done a good bit of it already and now we have some more added to the show.
In addition to all of the namesake matches on the show, the pay per view will also feature some more traditional matches. That makes the build feel a little more normal, as there are going to be both title matches and grudge matches on the card. WWE has taken a little bit from each kind of match to help get the pay per view ready and things are starting to look good in a hurry.
WWE has added three more matches to the Tables, Ladders And Chairs card. First up, a grudge match between Randy Orton and the Fiend has been set. The Fiend has targeted Orton, who seems to be going after Alexa Bliss to throw Fiend off his game. Second, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Asuka and Lana after losing a pair of non-title matches. Finally, as announced on this week’s SmackDown, Sasha Banks will defend the SmackDown Women’s Title against Carmella, who attacked her multiple times in recent weeks.
That’s a lot to add. Check out how we got to these points:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you need to build towards the show and there is nothing wrong with going logical. They have a much deeper card now than they had just a few hours ago so hopefully we get something even better to fill in the second half of the show. The other good thing is you could see these matches going either way, so we have some intrigue as a bonus. Nicely done, even if it was a quick build.
