It’s not quite the same. AEW has come a long way throughout its history despite that history only being around for a few years. The company is less than five years old but have already become the second biggest wrestling promotion in the United States. However, there have been some changes throughout that history and now we know about another rather important one.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AEW creative decisions are being made later than they were at the beginning of the company’s history. This includes wrestlers occasionally not finding out what they will be doing until the day of a show. The situation is said to be frustrating for wrestlers, as they might be able to have input on what they do but will not know what they are doing in the long term. There is no word on what kind of changes AEW might make to address this issue.

Opinion: This is one of those things that is going to happen at some point, but at the end of the day, AEW is going to need to do something to solve the situation. Waiting this long is going to cause some issues with stories, as the wrestlers need a bit more time to figure out where things are going and what they should be doing. It continues what seems to be a trend of AEW needing more help backstage and maybe this will help push them in that direction.
