They're In: Two New Matches Plus A Segment Confirmed For WWE Payback

That’s a lot. We are just over a week away from WWE’s latest major event with Payback on Saturday September 2. The show is already starting to come together and several matches have already been announced. There are still more things that need to be covered and all they needs are the official announcements. Some of those things have now been taken care of on the same night.

WWE announced two matches and a segment for Payback this week on SmackDown. First up, Rey Mysterio will defend the United States Title against Austin Theory. Mysterio defeated Theory to win the title earlier this month. Second, LA Knight will face the Miz in a grudge match. Finally, Cody Rhodes will appear as a special guest on the Grayson Waller Effect. There is no word on what Rhodes will be discussing.

Opinion: Sometimes a major event needs a night like this one and it went about as well as could be expected. There were a lot of things going on with WWE this week and Payback was one of them. They did about as well as they could all things considered and now we get to see how next Saturday’s show will play out. At least now we know a lot more about what we will be seeing.
