They’re here/back! AEW has a history of bringing in various international stars, some of whom have been quite successful elsewhere. It can be a big moment to see one of them make their AEW debut, but another special moment is when they return from a long hiatus. Both of those things took place this week in advance of one of AEW’s most important matches of the year.

The closing segment of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Don Callis and Kenny Omega announcing their final entrants for next week’s Blood & Guts match. Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita attacked Omega until Pac appeared to help them, revealing himself as Callis’ final man. Pac is a former AEW Trios Champion who has appeared with the company on and off since its inception.
Omega then announced that former IWGP World Champion Kota Ibushi would be his team’s final member. Ibushi did not appear on the show but after his announcement, the rest of the Elite came to the ring to save Omega from the beatdown. Ibushi and Omega were tag partners in Japan and he has been rumored to join the promotion multiple times without making an appearance.
It’s going to be big. Check out the announcement and who is coming to AEW:
Opinion: While Ibushi might not have been a surprise, the Pac announcement came a bit out of left field, as he has not been around for several months now due to an injury. It will be nice to have Pac back, but it would be nicer for him to stick around longer this time. What matters is that Blood & Guts has a lot of potential, and that is what a show like this needs.
