They’re happy. Titles are some of the most important aspects of wrestling as they identify the top stars in any promotion while often offering fans the top stories in any company. It can be a big deal when a new championship is added to the promotion’s offerings, which is what we saw earlier this week. Now we are seeing some reactions from people who might be competing for it.

This week on SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis introduced the Women’s United States Title, marking the first women’s midcard title in the company. Various wrestlers and WWE personalities have responded to the announcement of the new title, with some of the people listed here. There is still no word on when the title will be debuted or how the first champion will be crowned.

Opinion: This is where things can get interesting and it makes sense that there are so many people interested in the new title. Hopefully some of the people who were talking about the title get to compete for it, as there are several ways the first champion can go. That is something that could make someone’s career, as becoming an inaugural champion is quite the accomplishment.
