Not so good. There have been a lot of changes taking place in AEW as of late and a lot of them have centered around CM Punk. This has included Punk’s return after a nine month absence due to an injury and a suspension. Now Punk has officially returned and has had a lot to say, but it seems that as has been the case before, things are not exactly going over well behind the scenes.

During Punk’s return to AEW last weekend at Collision, Punk cut a promo to open the show which included a variety of references to his time away and a thinly veiled shot at the Young Bucks. This comes after Punk gave an interview to ESPN promoting Collision, which included additional statements about members of the AEW roster.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Post X Wrestlenomics podcast, these two things have led to the “divisiveness” being “at a pretty bad point again in AEW. Both sides are reportedly mad at the other for not keeping their agreement to keep issues in-house. There is no word on any potential punishment for Punk or what this could lead to from either side.

Punk has been a big deal since he has been back. Check out some of what he has done:

Opinion: I can’t say I’m surprised, as this seems likely to be something that is going to be happening on a pretty regular basis with Punk and AEW. Punk rubs some people in AEW the wrong way and that feeling seems to be mutual. Hopefully everything works out well enough that they can work together for the time being, as it would be a shame to see things fall apart again.
