Welcome back! With so many wrestlers on the AEW roster, there are going to be times when someone goes away for a little while for one reason or another. This can lead to some special returns when someone gets to come back after their hiatus. That was the case this week, as a pair of stars got to come back together following a pair of absences for different reasons.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Over There: AEW Makes Huge Announcement About First Time Ever Event

Both Christian Cage and Luchasaurus returned this week on AEW Dynamite. The two appeared in a segment, though neither of them spoke. The segment was promoted as the return of Cage, but then he walked over and found Luchasaurus. This is the first appearance for Cage since he lost a Final Burial match to Jungle Boy. Luchasaurus has been missing for unknown reasons, with his most recent match taking place on November 19, 2022.

It was a busy night. Check out what is back in AEW:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that opens up a few doors for AEW as Cage has been one of the best villains in company history and Luchasaurus is one of the more unique stars AEW has. It’s great to have them back and I’m curious to see what they can do or what they are going to be asked to do, as this could go in a few directions. Hopefully that direction isn’t Jungle Boy though, as the story is over.
