It continues. One of the most interesting things you will see in wrestling is a wrestler from one promotion showing up elsewhere. That can make for all kinds of options, especially when bigger names wind up appearing on smaller shows. We have been seeing that in recent weeks and it took place again this week, with multiple names making surprise appearances.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Still In: 59 Year Old WWE Hall Of Famer Says He Will Never Retire
This week’s Impact Wrestling featured three cameo appearances from NXT stars. First up, NXT’s Charlie Dempsey faced Zachary Wentz. Later in the match, Myles Borne, Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew teammate Myles Borne appeared to help Dempsey win. Dempsey appeared last week and attacked both Trey Miguel and Leon Slater. Later, Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace issued an open challenge for a title match, with NXT’s Izzi Dame answering, only to lose her title match. There is no word on how long the crossover will continue.
This was a surprise. Check out Dame’s appearance and more from the crossover:
Opinion: This is one of the more entertaining things going in wrestling right now and it is great to see two different promotions getting to do something special. It gives the NXT stars something to do while giving TNA quite the boost of star power. It’s not something that needs to go on forever, but it is working well for what it it. If nothing else, the fact that WWE is willing to do something like this shows how much they have changed and that is great to see.
