They’re good. Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they can make wrestlers look like some of the top stars in any promotion. Fans understand the idea of wrestlers who are wearing a big gold belt are more prominent than others. It can be a big deal when a new title is introduced and that was the case again last week, with an interesting backstage take included.

Last week, WWE introduced two new sets of Tag Team Title belts, with the Raw Tag Team Titles being turned into the World Tag Team Titles, while the SmackDown Tag Team Titles turning into the WWE Tag Team Titles. According to Fightful Select, WWE wrestlers “universally praised” the new WWE Tag Team Titles, which are said to have been ready for quite some time.

Opinion: I can’t say I blame WWE for the backstage reactions as the titles really do look good. They have a nice mixture of a classic style with a modern look. That makes for a nice change of pace and if nothing else, they are long overdue. The old designs had been around for a very long time now and they never looked great in the first place. These are a nice change and I’d be curious to see what else WWE might do with their other titles.
