It’s something. Wrestlers have tried their hands at acting for decades with some limited results. It makes sense in theory, as wrestlers have to make a career out of faking almost everything that they are doing. You never know when you might see someone finding some more success on the screen, and now one of the biggest stars in wrestling today will be trying his hand at acting again.

According to the Daily Mail, WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes will be appearing in the upcoming remake of the Naked Gun in a cameo. Rhodes is expected to play a hypnotized version of himself, which will be a reference to a scene in the original film. The movie, a parody of police films starring Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson, is expected to be released on July 18, 2025.

Rhodes can do a lot of things. Check out what he has been up to lately:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that should make Rhodes feel like an even bigger star, which is probably what WWE is hoping happens. Rhodes has dabbled in acting before so he isn’t coming in completely blind, but for now he is getting the biggest role he has ever had in his acting career. It is the kind of thing that comes with being the champ, and Rhodes could be that for a very long time now.
