Yes her. There have been a lot of changes to WWE in recent months and one of the biggest has been the new way in which the promotion deals with contracts. Rather than signing wrestlers to new deals far in advance, the new ownership is favoring waiting until the last minute to sign wrestlers to new contracts. That is the case again with one of the company’s longest standing stars.

According to Fightful Select by way of Wrestlingnews.co, Natalya’s WWE contract expires in a “couple of weeks”, meaning she could become a free agent. There is no word on discussions between the two sides and Natalya has not commented on the situation. Natalya has mainly been working in NXT in recent weeks and has been wrestling for WWE since 2008.

Opinion: While it is of course a possibility, I cannot imagine Natalya leaving WWE. At the end of the day, she has been around for such a long time and would probably have a high level trainer’s position waiting on her the second she decides to retire. She’s only 41 and is still performing at a high level so if WWE is interested, it would be hard to fathom her being ready to retire, or even move on.
