It’s a tradition. WWE has made a variety of changes to its touring schedule this year but some of their traditions are still around. Those can make for some special moments as fans look forward to seeing the things taking place every year. That is what we are expected to see later this year, even if WWE has yet to announce one of its most important events of the calendar.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Run It Back: Monday Night Raw And SmackDown To Hold Double Television Tapings Next Month

WWE traditionally runs a live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City just after Christmas, with the thinking being that fans will receive tickets as Christmas gifts. However, this year’s edition has yet to be announced. According to PWInsider.com, WWE is planning to hold the event on December 26 but are waiting to announce it as there are two other shows already announced for the New York area. There will be a SmackDown on October 25 in Brooklyn and Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14 on Long Island. The Madison Square Garden event will still be announced in the coming weeks.

This could be big. Check out what has happened in the Garden:

Opinion: This is one of those things that makes sense from WWE’s perspective but it must be a bit annoying for fans who are waiting on the announcement. At the end of the day, this is something that WWE does on a regular basis and that is going to have fans waiting to see if it happens again. Hopefully WWE doesn’t wait too long, as this is the kind of thing that needs some time to be set up.
