That's Worth A Ticket: AEW's Darby Allin Hit By Car In New York City

That’s a different kind of injury. There are all kinds of ways a wrestler can get hurt in the ring and some of them can cause some serious problems. Those can happen in the middle of a match or some kind of a segment, but there are other injuries which take place during their day to day lives. Now another AEW star has been injured in a rather serious and painful way.

This week’s edition of AEW Rampage featured a match between Darby Allin and Lee Moriarty. During the match, Jim Ross revealed that Allin was hit by a car while skateboarding in New York City earlier in the week. Allin was said to suffer road rash but was cleared to wrestle in the match. There is no word on any other injuries to Allin from the incident.

Opinion: You don’t get something like this very often and that is quite a good thing to hear. Having anyone get injured in any way is bad but having someone get hit by a car is quite the different kind of issue. Thankfully Allin was fine enough to get back in the ring as this could have been a lot worse. What matters is his health, but Allin has shown his toughness over the years and that is an impressive thing.
