That’s Why? Samantha Irvin Reveals She Did Not Want To Announce In WWE, What She Wanted To Do

Not her thing. Occasionally you will see someone leave WWE out of nowhere and it can be quite the surprise. No matter how talented they might be, there is something that causes them to go their own way and leave the promotion. It can result in some surprising explanations when the real reasons come out, and that is the case again following a surprising WWE departure.

Earlier this week, Samantha Irvin announced that she was leaving WWE, with Lilian Garcia taking her place as the Monday Night Raw announcer. Over the weekend, Irvin responded to a fan on Twitter, revealing that she did not like announcing in WWE. Announcing had only been planned as a way into the company, where she eventually hoped to manage or become the General Manager. However, Irvin claims that WWE saw no other future for her besides ring announcing. There is nothing to suggest that Irvin will be returning to wrestling anytime soon.

Opinion: I’m not happy with seeing Irvin leave WWE, but if she wasn’t happy as a ring announcer, there is nothing wrong with her departing. At the end of the day, she isn’t required to stick with a job she doesn’t like and if WWE didn’t see something else in it for her, there is no reason for her to stay. Hopefully she gets to do whatever she likes, as she is incredibly talented and would be rather valuable to anyone she brings in.
