That’s never good. Injuries are the kind of thing that can slow down any wrestler no matter what they are doing. You never know when you are going to see someone get hurt for either a short or longer amount of time but either can be devastating to whatever they are doing. That seems to be the case again to a reigning champion, though things could always be worse.

AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky has sent out a tweet revealing that he suffered an injury during his successful title defense against Dante Martin on this week’s Rampage. Sky said that he started the match with his knee bothering him, but then strained a muscle in his leg in the opening minutes. The injury left his right leg “useless”, though he did finish the match. Sky also said that he hopes it is nothing serious and that he is able to return to the ring soon.

Opinion: You never want to see something like this happen and hopefully Sky is back to full strength sooner than later. Sky is one of the more well rounded stars in AEW today and it makes sense that he is one of the company’s champions. I’m not sure what this might mean for the short term future of the title but the fact that he was able to finish the match should be a good sign.

What do you think of Sky? Who should he defend against next? Let us know in the comments below.
