Yeah I’d call that big. We are now in the second half of 2023 and that means it is already time for WWE to start getting ready for WrestleMania 40 in April of next year. The show is going to be a major milestone for both WWE and WrestleMania and therefore it is going to need something huge on top. That might be the case, but it might be something you have seen before.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Starting Fast: WWE Reportedly Has These Six Matches Set For Summerslam
The main event of this year’s WrestleMania 39 saw WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns successfully defend his title against Cody Rhodes. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the current planned main event for WrestleMania 40 is a rematch between Reigns and Rhodes, though there is no word on if Reigns will still be champion. WrestleMania 40 is set for April 6 and 7 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Opinion: That is certainly one way to go, but it is strange to think of a repeat of the story that we saw for months after Rhodes has already been defeated and the Bloodline has fallen. Maybe they have a new twist on things or maybe this isn’t for the title, but it is a rather odd choice. It would be nice to see Rhodes get his moment, though it does make me wonder why WWE didn’t let him have it this year.
