That’s One. Mick Foley Is Impressed With A New WWE Superstar.

It’s a big compliment. One of the most important things to do in wrestling is make new stars. You can only run with the same talent forever and at times, you have to do something to freshen up the talent pool. That doesn’t seem to be a strong suit for WWE, but in this case they have figured out the right way to go and a wrestling legend seems to agree.

Mick Foley has posted a Tweet praising Buddy Murphy for his performances on the last two episodes of SmackDown Live. Over the last two weeks, Murphy has faced Roman Reigns in a losing effort and then defeated Daniel Bryan this week. Foley said that two great performances in a row are no fluke and Murphy is the real deal. Murphy is currently part of the story involving Reigns being attacked by a mystery assailant.

I would say the talent is there. Check out Murphy vs. Reigns and then Bryan:

Opinion: Foley is absolutely right here as Murphy was having some great matches on 205 Live and has now continued to do so on the main roster. He is only thirty years old and in the prime of his career and it is cool to see him getting a chance like this. That being said, why in the world did it take so long for WWE to give him a chance? He was called up from 205 Live four months ago and only now is he getting in the ring. Why wait so long?
