That’s One: AEW Star Wins First Title At Full Gear

And NEW! Titles are some of the most important things in all of wrestling as they identify the top stars in any promotion. A wrestler winning a title can be a game changer for their careers, especially when it is the first title in a major company. That is what we saw this weekend, as an up and coming star won his first championship on one of the bigger stages of his career.

Over the weekend at AEW Full Gear, Daniel Garcia defeated Jack Perry by submission to become the new TNT Champion. The win marks Garcia’s first title of any kind in AEW. The two had been feuding in recent weeks after Garcia announced that he had signed a new deal with the company and said he wanted a title. This was the only title change on the card out of five title matches taking place throughout the night.

It’s a big deal. Check out the new champion in action:

Opinion: This is something that needed to happen, as Garcia is someone that AEW has been pushing for a long time now and now he has finally won something. What matters the most is that Garcia is getting a chance to show what he can do, as he has to actually get the ball and run with it for a chance. That is what we are seeing here, and now Garcia has to live up to the chance he is getting.
