The big uh oh. Injuries are the kind of thing that you never can gauge in wrestling, though some of them are much worse than others. While a broken arm or broken leg are very bad, one of the ultimate worst is a neck injury. Those things are the more serious ones because you never know how long it is going to take to really recover from one. Surgery is usually the solution and a top star may be facing that issue.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Randy Orton was told a few years back that he needed neck surgery which would have put him on the shelf for a year. Another doctor’s second opinion said that he did not, though Orton’s neck is not entirely healed. Orton recently missed about a month of action due to a neck injury, though he has since returned to action at house shows and should be back on television soon. At the moment, there are no reports to suggest that he is in need of neck surgery right now.

Orton can go when he’s healthy. Check out one of his more violent moments earlier this year:

Opinion: That could be a huge disaster if it is the case, though at least Orton seems good to go for now. If he can get clearance and did get a second opinion that said he didn’t need the surgery, he should be good to go for the moment. However, this is the kind of thing that can get bad in a hurry and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him need the surgery one day. Hopefully not, but this is the kind of thing that can be rather scary.
