That’s a different way to go. WWE is the biggest wrestling company in the world and a lot of that is due to their international appeal. They have a little something that can appeal to all kinds of fans around the world and that is something that can take them a long way. There are so many ways to present their product, or at least their wrestlers, which can open more than a few doors. Now they are trying something completely new in an effort to appeal to an audience that goes around the world.

During this week’s WWE investors conference call, WWE President Nick Khan announced that the company is producing an upcoming anime series. The series will be distributed on Crunchyroll, an online anime platform owned by Sony. There is no word on which, if any, WWE stars will be involved in the production of the show. It is not clear when the show will debut or how long it will run.

Opinion: I’m not sure how much of an impact this is going to have, but it is certainly a different way of presenting the WWE stars. The world of wrestling has been considered little more than a cartoon at times over the years so stretching it out into anime could fit rather well. If the effort is put into something like this and we get to see what WWE can do with it, we might be in for something rather fun.

I know WWE might not be the most popular thing in the world at the moment but this is the kind of thing that could help bring in a different audience. I’m sure there is going to be some kind of crossover appeal here and that is certainly a good idea. Hopefully it works out well for WWE, as they can certainly get something out of the boost of additional fans. It isn’t like WWE hasn’t done something worse before.
