The price you pay. Joey Janela has taken the independent wrestling world by storm in the last year or so, becoming one of the hottest stars on the circuit. The self proclaimed Bad Boy of Wrestling has a tendency to do some insane things in and out of the ring, which can often get you in trouble. Janela was recently injured in a botched dive, and it turns out that things are worse than originally expected.

Earlier today, Janela posted on Twitter that he would be out for at least a year due to his knee injury suffered last month. The injury occurred when Janela dove off the top rope to the floor at a Game Changer Wrestling event, landing horribly on his knee. A video of the injury was recorded and Janela has commented on it since, with today being the first time that the length of his recovery has been announced.

And the incident that caused the whole thing.

Opinion: It’s almost sad to think this way but you had to know something like this was coming. You can’t wrestle a style like he does and then be surprised when you get hurt. Hopefully the one year part is an exaggeration and he’ll be back much sooner, but this means some major changes for his future. Janela was on fire as of late and it’s a shame that he’s going to be out for so long.

What do you think of him? What will he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
