That's Awesome: WWE Apologizes To Wrestling Journalist In A Very Unique Way

That’s a present. Wrestling is not exactly like normal sports in a variety of ways. This includes reporting about the industry, as news about what is going on can be a mixture of fact and storyline. That was the situation earlier this weekend, leading to a bit of a testy situation. Things have been resolved though now, albeit in a way you might not have seen coming.

Over the weekend at the Backlash media scrum, Triple H was asked about Drew Gulak being let go from WWE. Triple H said that reports about Gulak’s departure were inaccurate and criticized the news sources. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, who was mentioned, said on Twitter that he wanted “all the finest French cheeses delivered to my home as a token of apology”. Sapp then revealed that he received a wedge of cheese with a note from WWE praising his work.

Opinion: That’s the kind of thing you do not see very often and major points to WWE for having a big sense of humor. Wrestling writers are already in a weird place and have to deal with a lot, so thankfully WWE seems interested in working with the media in their industry. It’s also nice to see WWE apologize for once, which really has not been their style over the years.
