The more things stay the same. One of the biggest stories in wrestling this year (or in many years for that matter) is SmackDown Live moving to FOX this coming October. The move puts WWE back on network television in a major upgrade for the company. It could also bring some more changes, though it seems that one such change will not be taking place at the moment.

According to Variety.com, FOX has released its new fall schedule for the 2019-2020 television season. The schedule includes SmackDown on Friday nights with a time slot of 8pm-10pm, meaning the show will not be expanding to three hours, at least not for the time being. FOX is known for running its local news at 10pm, meaning a move to three hours would be less likely.

This seems appropriate since it’s a new beginning. Check out the best from the first ever SmackDown:

Opinion: That is quite the relief as I was worried about a three hour show. That is way too long for any wrestling show, as has been proven by Monday Night Raw. One of the major perks to SmackDown Live is the show being an hour shorter and stretching it into a third hour would make things a lot worse. Just let it be the two hours and things can be better for the time being.

Do you want the show to go to a third hour? Will the show be a success on FOX? Let us know in the comments below.
