The stars are aligning. WWE is constantly trying to increase its global reach, as there are all kinds of places where the company has not yet established a foothold. This includes several countries where WWE might have tried to do something but just have not been able to make it work. They have another country to go after at the moment and now we know one of their next steps.

WWE has announced that it will be presenting an event in India on September 8 called Superstar Spectacle. John Cena had previously been announced for the show but no opponent had been announced. This weekend, WWE announced that Cena will team with Seth Rollins to face Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser. Currently the show is not expected to be broadcast on American television or Peacock.

There is some talent here. Check out all four in the match:

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that will draw some interest, as Cena and Rollins are two of the biggest names available for the show. Rollins is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion and Cena is a living legend. Imperium’s main reason for being on the roster is to protect Gunther so now we should be able to get a good match out of all four and that should be a solid boost that the show needs.
